* What personal information do we collect and why?
We ask you for personal information in 4 areas of our website.
1. When you make an online booking
We will ask for your name and contact details such as your postal address, telephone and fax number and e-mail address. We will also require your credit/debit card details in order to take payment and confirm the booking on-line. This information is required to process your booking. We need your name so that we can confirm to the airline who the booking is for and your address so that we can send you your tickets or in case we have to write to you about any part of your booking. We require a contact telephone number and email address to be able to contact you should we need more information or to notify you of any changes in advance of your departure. Unless you opt-out, we may also use your postal and email address to let you know about any special offers/promotions we think might be of interest to you.
2. When requesting an e-quote
We will capture your email address when you request an e-quote in order to send our response. We may use your details in the future to email you special offers and promotions that might be of interest. At the foot of our 'Quote Me' form, we offer you the option to opt-out of any future communications.
3. When requesting a brochure online
We need your name and address to allow us to send you the brochure. We may use your details in the future to write to you about special offers and promotions that might be of interest. At the foot of our brochure request form, we offer you the option to opt-out of any future communications.
4. When signing up for e-mail updates
We will NOT share your details with other companies for marketing purposes. At the foot of all our email communications we offer you the option to opt-out of any future communications.
* How do we protect your information?
A secure server protects all the information you give us. We secure the information by encrypting it, using the secure server software SSL (Secure Socket Layers). We do this by scrambling your details using a mathematical formula known as a 'key'. Once the information has arrived on our server, as the 'keyholder', we are the only people who can unlock or de-encrypt your information. You can tell our site is secure as a small locked padlock will appear in the bottom left of your browser to show that you can safely send credit card details through our site. We also have a Firewall (security software) in place to protect all information from being accessed from the Internet.
* What are cookies and do we use them?
Cookies are small pieces of information sent by our server and stored on your computer's hard disk drive. Cookies register your preferences when you visit websites, which enables a better and more personalised experience when you visit a particular website again. We use 'temporary cookies', which are only used during the booking process. The cookies we pass to you are anonymous and do not hold or reveal information about your personal identity.
* Will we disclose any personal information to third parties?
We understand that your online privacy is paramount. We will only disclose your name and booking details to our suppliers (predominantly the airlines) for operational purposes. We won't disclose credit/debit card numbers unless we believe in good faith that the law requires it. We may in the future allow affiliates or carefully vetted third parties to contact you for marketing purposes.
*Tracking Technology
Third party tracking technology is used to measure the popularity of our email newsletters through the measurement of the number of opens of the email message and the number of click-thru's from the email. No personal information is collected during this process. The information is anonymous and is not used to link online actions to an identifiable person. Within our website, we provide links to other travel related websites for your convenience. These sites may have different security and privacy policies that we have no control over. We will not take responsibility for any information that is submitted to these sites.
